Urgent action is needed to decarbonise heat in buildings if we are to achieve our 2050 net zero emissions target, as the IPCC’s recent report makes only too clear.
We believe that using a mix of different technologies and approaches will offer a combined solution to the challenge: electrification (including heat pumps and direct resistive systems), decarbonisation of the gas grid (using hydrogen) and heat networks in dense urban environments.
Our Managing Director Karen Boswell outlines our multi-strand pathway to the energy transition on the Future of Heat here.
